i’m not a science geek, but you’re assuming that the downward angle of his body is the direction his body is moving. He might be going straight across and with enough force that he’s actually going to land in the sink. Cats are skilled at jumping, they only fail at being worthwhile pets.
Who cares about the jumping an’ climbing bullshit. The ONLY thing moderately interesting about a cat is its ability to purr. Nothing else. Cats fail period.
That is a preemptive fail.

Looks like it’s judged it purrfectly. It needs to land with its front paws on the edge of the counter to stop itself sliding into the sink.

my cat has made harder/more dangerous jumps… i think it probably made it. Really, you’d be amazed how well they land.
