  4. @Jessica: I know how this happened, because it happened on the small cul-de-sac I lived on for 20 years. A neighbor pulled out of his driveway and drove for only about 50 meters when out of nowhere a horse that had escaped her paddock leapt straight at the vehicle and impaled itself exactly as shown in the photo above — except on the driver’s side of the car. The driver was severely injured by survived. The horse wasn’t as lucky.

    There is something about headlights that apparently attracts horses. So much so that they can’t help but run straight at the lights and jump between them. Odd. Very odd.
