Haha. Well of COURSE it’s cruel, and unnecessarily so. THAT is what makes it so funny. The best humor is at someone’s expense and the fact that the poor guy begging for help was being tortured cruelly for what ironically would have been an easy task compared to the tedious work that the joke retouching entailed (and that task was still never performed, even after all the joke photos were made) just adds to the mounting humor with each post becoming more and more insulting to and disrespectful of, the touching moment the photo was supposed to represent.

I don’t disagree that it wasn’t a nice thing to do, but it was funny and you can’t have funny and moral at the same time. That’s why The Family Circus is a terrible comic strip.

“Honestly, i think this one is rather cruel, and that you people are also rather cruel for laughing, in other circumstances this would have been hilarious, however, this guy was pretty much begging for someone to help him give his dad a good gift for his birthday. This hardly deserves a rating of 4.86/5, itâ€™s not hard to imagine yourself asking for help from people who obviously could help and who are simply laughing in your face! Not funny at all and for those of you who think it is the best fail â€œevarâ€ (I mean come on, this comment box has itâ€™s own spell check and if your looking through this sort of thing your hardly in that much of a rush that you cannot be bothered to check spelling) you should take a good look at your moral values. I know it sounds like a kill joy post, however as this site is meant to be â€œfailâ€ site should a 4.86/5 post not be something failing? Not just a â€œfunnyâ€ screen shot of a forum?”
