First. This horse is going to have to be shot when it breaks something, and it’s also going to fall on that fat f**k and crush him.

Title FAIL – this isn’t show jumping, this is cross country jumping. Show jumping takes place in an arena, with brightly colored jumps, most of which feature poles that are easily knocked out of place. Cross country takes place outside over a course of several miles, and feature more “natural” jumps that are solid.

As a rider, I’ve seen plenty of falls, but I’m honestly not sure how it would be possible to come over a jump and end up in that position.

But in all likelihood, the horse was scraped and bruised, but okay. And stuff like this is exactly why you always wear helmets and chest protectors.

its called a rotational fall. Good number of horses and riders die in falls like this each year

this is probably from an Eventing show. not cool. happens too often.

A) This is most likely cross country.

B) As a rider and jumper myself I can tell you this is not at all funny.

C) That person might possibly die and that horse, if it breaks anything or goes lame will not be ridden anymore and be sold to some glue factory.

Gee another horse related “accident”. At least this one was due to missing a jump and not due to a stupid horse freaking out over some little thing and maiming or killing the rider.

To all you horse lovers out there – talk to an ER doc in a rural area about how many horse-related injuries they treat and then think twice about risking your health riding on these dumb creatures. Remember a horse paralyzed and eventually killed Superman!

Horses are not dumb. you are the proof.

Horses do not freak out over some little thing. They are pray, if you were pray, and saw something you were not used to, didnt know what it was, and what it was going to do to you, you would freak out too.
And the horse never hurts a rider on purpose, it is a survival instinct to run, and get away from a frightning scene. You douche.
