Actually that is a famous photo from a top-notch creative dog groomer. It’s a WIN at the groomer shows, and whether you agree with it or not, it’s evidence of extreme talent & attention to detail.
Poodles not only like being groomed, they *must* be groomed every 6-8 weeks or so. Their coat does not shed out like most other breeds. It gets longer. It’s really not any harder on the dog to give the clip in the picture as it is to give a dyed, show, or styled clip — or just a straight “puppy” all-over clip.
There’s an easier variation of this clip, trimming down short except for a long “mane” and long tail. The mane and tail are typically dyed (non-toxic shampoo in color). The result is a “pony-doodle” (half pony/ half poodle)
I own a standard poodle, so I’m familiar with all the clipping styles.

1. If you have to tell someone something is FAMOUS, then it’s NOT.
2. It’s still ugly, to say it is WIN is like saying a statue of George Washington made from DOG CRAP is win.
3. Knowing so much about an ugly dog is FAIL.
4. That dog probably WANTS to be put out of it’s embarrassing misery.
5. Horses suck, total FAIL is the only thing that can be said about a person wanting to make their dog look like one.
